Kane

Glen Thomas Jacobs (born April 26, 1967) is a Spanish-born American professional wrestler and actor better known by his ring name, Kane. He is working for WWE, signed to its SmackDown brand but is currently inactive due to an injury.
Jacobs began his wrestling career in 1992 working on independent circuits. He wrestled in Smoky Mountain Wrestling as Unabomb where he won the SMW Tag Team Championship as a member of The Dynamic Duo, and in the United States Wrestling Association where he won the USWA Heavyweight Championship as Doomsday. He later joined his current promotion, the World Wrestling Federation (which later became World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002) in 1995, where he wrestled under various gimmicks before debuting as his current character, Kane, in 1997.The character's half-brother is The Undertaker, with whom Kane has teamed up as the Brothers of Destruction.

Jacobs has accumulated 17 championship accolades during his WWE career. He is a three-time world champion, having won the WWF Championship once, the ECW Championship once, and the World Heavyweight Championship once (tied for third longest reign in history) making him the first of two people ever to hold all three WWE world titles. He is also a two-time WWF/E Intercontinental Champion, a one-time WWF Hardcore Champion, and an eleven-time Tag Team Champion; winning the WWE Tag Team Championship (once with The Big Show), the WCW World Tag Team Championship once (with The Undertaker), and the World Tag Team Champion nine times (twice with Mankind, X-Pac, and The Undertaker; and once with The Hurricane, Rob Van Dam, and The Big Show).Jacobs is the third Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. In addition to championships, he is a one-time Money in the Bank winner, also he has become the quickest man to cash in the briefcase. Kane currently holds several records in the Royal Rumble match. Most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble with 11, most Royal Rumble match appearances with 15, most consecutive appearances in the match with 13 from 1999 to 2011, and the quickest elimination of another competitor at 1.8 seconds.

Angus King when he debuted in the St. Louis, Missouri area with the CSWA organization owned and promoted by a childhood friend. Jacobs later moved south and began wrestling as Doomsday, appearing in the United States Wrestling Association and as Unabomb in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, where he held the SMW Tag Team Championship with Al Snow in a team called The Dynamic Duo.During his time in the United States Wrestling Association, Jacobs (as Doomsday) held the USWA Heavyweight Championship. He also wrestled a brief stint in WCW under the name Bruiser Mastino. Jacobs also wrestled a brief tour in the UWFI under his real name.

During the 2009 Draft Kane beat The Brian Kendrick for a draft pick, and later in the night, Kane himself would be drafted back to SmackDown!. After this Kane feuded with CM Punk and then defeated him at Backlash thus ending the feud. After that, Kane took a break to tour India and also heal injuries, returning at The Bash to assist Dolph Ziggler in his match with The Great Khali by hitting Khali with a steel chair allowing Ziggler to win, starting a feud with Khali, whom he defeated at SummerSlam and in a Singapore Cane match at WWE Breaking Point, thus ending the feud as Khali needed toe surgery. On the November 13th edition of SmackDown!, Kane turned face by saving The Undertaker from Chris Jericho and The Big Show. In 2010, at WrestleMania XXVI during the Money in the Bank Ladder match, Kane was unsuccessful in claiming the briefcase. Over the next few months, Kane was involved in sporadic singles matches on episodes of SmackDown!.

Kane lost the title after Edge climbed the ladder to retrieve it after pushing Alberto Del Rio off the ladder, through two tables on the outside. At WWE Tribute to the Troops 2010, Kane challenged General William Grimsley to an arm-wrestling contest, only for it to end in a no-contest when Edge interfered and speared Kane.

Kane received his rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 7, 2011 episode of SmackDown, in a Last Man Standing match. Kane was dominant throughout the match but unable to win the title after Edge used the Con-Chair-To on Kane's knee, preventing Kane from answering the 10-count. Kane competed in the 2011 Royal Rumble match, being the first person to enter the Royal Rumble at number 40, but he was eliminated by Mysterio. Kane competed in the 2011 Elimination Chamber, eliminating Drew McIntyre and the Big Show before being speared and eliminated by Edge. After his elimination Kane viciously attacked Rey Mysterio and then chokeslammed Edge for the final time thus ending the feud between the two.

Amauri Calvalho

Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (born 3 June 1980), better known as Amauri, is a Brazilian-born Italian footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Juventus.

Amauri was trialed at Palmeiras,the club of his place of birth, São Paulo state, but failed to impress. At the age of 19, he went to Santa Catarina state to work and played for a local club at Santa Catarina State League 2nd Division. Santa Catarina Clube was invited to Torneo di Viareggio in Italy, at which he showed his talent to scouts; he was signed by a club from the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, AC Bellinzona. He scored once in 5 appearances.

In mid-2003, Amauri joined Chievo in co-ownership deal, with Simone Barone loan became permanent. With Sergio Pellissier and Federico Cossato, he first played as a backup then a second-striker. In June 2005, Chievo bough the remain 50% registration rights from Parma.

On August 31, 2006, the last day of the 2006 summer transfer period, Amauri was sold to Palermo for a reported €8 million plus Denis Godeas, after having scored two goals in the return match of the third qualifying round against PFC Levski Sofia. Palermo did not have a good center-forward since the departure of Luca Toni in 2005 and needed to find a good partner for David Di Michele, as Andrea Caracciolo and Stephen Makinwa were not making a significant impact.

Amauri's third season at Juventus started with a double at Irish UEFA Europa League opponents Shamrock Rovers F.C., but went on to be very disappointing, as he found very little first team chances due to a number of injuries coupled with growing dissatisfaction regarding his striking abilities, and playing only five games, with no goals, in the first half of the 2010–11 Serie A.

On 31 January 2011, Amauri joined Parma on loan until 30 June 2011. He enjoyed an excellent few months at the club, scoring 7 times in 11 games and playing a big role in his temporary owners securing their place in Serie A for another year, as he linked up with Sebastian Giovinco in a little and large two-man attack.

On 31 January 2009, Brazilian coach Dunga selected Amauri, who was still ineligible to play for Italy at the time, as a replacement for the injured Luís Fabiano in an international friendly against Italy. However, a few hours later, in the aftermath of a Juventus league game on the same day, Juventus chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli stated the club's intention not to allow the player to respond to the call-up.

Amauri is married to fellow Brazilian Cynthia, whom he first met during his spell at Napoli. They have a daughter, Cindy, and a son, Hugo Leonardo. Cynthia received Italian nationality in March 2009, making Amauri eligible to obtain Italian nationality from March 2010. Amauri finally received his Italian citizenship on April 12, 2010 during a ceremony in Turin.

Arsenal Football Club is a professional English Premier League football club based in North London. One of the most successful clubs in English football, they have won 13 First Division and Premier League titles and 10 FA Cups. They hold the record for the longest uninterrupted period in the English top flight and are the only side to have completed a Premier League season unbeaten.

Arsenal was founded in 1886 in Woolwich and in 1893 became the first club from the south of England to join the Football League. In 1913, they moved north across the city to Arsenal Stadium in Highbury. In the 1930s they won five League Championship titles and two FA Cups. After a lean period in the post-war years they won the League and FA Cup Double, in the 1970–71 season, and in the 1990s and first decade of the 21st century won two more Doubles and reached the 2006 UEFA Champions League Final.

Arsenal Football Club started out as Dial Square in 1886 by workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, south-east London, and was renamed Royal Arsenal shortly afterwards. The club was renamed again to Woolwich Arsenal after becoming a limited company in 1893. The club became the first southern member of the Football League in 1893, starting out in the Second Division, and won promotion to the First Division in 1904. The club's relative geographic isolation resulted in lower attendances than those of other clubs, which led to the club becoming mired in financial problems and effectively bankrupt by 1910, when they were taken over by businessmen Henry Norris and William Hall. Norris sought to move the club elsewhere, and in 1913, soon after relegation back to the Second Division, Arsenal moved to the new Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, North London; they dropped "Woolwich" from their name the following year. In the 2011-2012 season, Arsenal will celebrate their 125th year anniversary. The celebrations will include a modified version of the current crest worn on their jerseys for the season. The crest is all white, surrounded by 15 oak leaves to the right and 15 laurel leaves to the left. The oak leaves represent the 15 founding members of the club who met at the Royal Oak pub. The 15 laurel leaves represent the design detail on the six pence pieces paid by the founding fathers to establish the club. The laurel leaves also represent strength.To complete the crest, 1886 and 2011 are shown on either sides of the motto "Forward" at the bottom of the crest.

Arsenal's home colours have been the inspiration for at least three other clubs. In 1909, Sparta Prague adopted a dark red kit like the one Arsenal wore at the time; in 1938, Hibernian adopted the design of the Arsenal shirt sleeves in their own green and white strip. In 1920, Sporting Clube de Braga's manager returned from a game at Highbury and changed his team's green kit to a duplicate of Arsenal's red with white sleeves and shorts, giving rise to the team's nickname of Os Arsenalistas, These teams still wear these designs to this day.

The team was a founding member of MLS (1996), but has gone through several name changes. The team was originally known as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars through 1997. From the 1998 season through the 2005 season, the team was known as simply the MetroStars. On March 9, 2006, the team was sold to Red Bull GmbH, leading to the team's current name.

The 2010 season brought about a new stadium, a new head coach, and a new group of players to the Red Bulls, who hoped to dramatically improve from their disappointing 2009 season. On January 7, 2010, the Red Bulls confirmed the signing of new Head Coach Hans Backe. Not long after Hans Backe was confirmed as coach, he started to purge Juan Carlos Osorio's old signings that caused the team's 2009 season. Early on he cut Jorge Rojas from the squad, and, in one movement, goalkeeper Danny Cepero, defender (and red card record-holder) Carlos Johnson, and defender Walter Garcia were all cut from the squad while midfielder Matthew Mbuta's contract was not picked up for the 2010 season. Backe began a new approach by signing more European players (mainly Scandinavian or Eastern European) instead of the South American and Central American players that are usually sought after in MLS.

Prior to the 2011 season the Red Bulls strengthened their roster with two signings from their academy, three foreign transfer signings, and the drafting of six players. The Red Bulls played their first pre-season match against Atlante F.C. in February 2011. Hans Backe then announced that Thierry Henry would be the captain for the 2011 season, and Rafael Marquez would play center defense with Tim Ream.

The team plays its home games in Red Bull Arena, in Harrison, New Jersey, which opened for the 2010 MLS season. Previously the team played at Giants Stadium, where they had played their home matches from 1996 until the end of the 2009 season. The stadium was located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) owned Giants Stadium along with the Izod Center and manages New Meadowlands Stadium. The team's headquarters are located in Harrison, New Jersey.

During the team's first seasons, the MetroStars had solid black or solid white jerseys, before switching to a home jerseys featuring red and black vertical stripes (similar to those worn by Milan). Juan Pablo Ángel Arango (born October 24, 1975 in Medellín) is a Colombian footballer. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.

Ángel started playing professional football at Atlético Nacional in his home city of Medellín. Ángel began to make a name for himself when he scored the winning goal against local rival Independiente Medellín to help Nacional capture the 1994 Colombian title. During his time with his hometown club Ángel would appear in 147 league matches scoring 45 goals.

Ángel became Aston Villa's record signing at £9.5 million on 12 January 2001. In his time at Villa, he was reportedly Villa's highest earner. After an indifferent start to his Aston Villa career, and family difficulties, Ángel settled down and started to produce the form that persuaded Doug Ellis to shell out the massive transfer fee. He quickly became a fans favourite and is the most recent Villa player to have scored more than 20 goals in one season, finishing as the club's top scorer in the 2003-04 season with 16 goals in the FA Premier League,(23 goals including cup competitions) but could not maintain that form as Villa struggled and he only managed seven goals in 2004-05.

On 17 April 2007, the New York Red Bulls proclaimed the signing of Ángel as their second designated player, pending the approval of his work visa. After his visa was approved, Ángel made his Red Bull debut 8 May 2007 in a U.S. Open Cup qualifying match. Ángel came on as a substitute and scored a beautiful, curving free kick in extra time during the Red Bulls' 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Juan Pablo Angel's season of 2010 was greatly improved. He started off slow but slowly progressed during the first half of the season and thru 19 games had 11 goals. He slumped in the second half of the season but concluded the season as the club's top scorer with 13 goals in 30 regular season appearances.On October 21, 2010 Angel assisted Dane Richards on the opening goal in a 2-0 victory over New England Revolution which helped New York clinch its second ever regular season Eastern Conference title.

After the 2010 MLS season New York declined Angel's contract option and Angel elected to participate in the 2010 MLS Re-Entry Draft. On December 15, 2010 Angel was selected by Los Angeles Galaxy in Stage 2 of the Re-Entry draft. On January 19, 2011 the club announced that they had signed Angel to a multi-year contract which would make Angel the Galaxy's third designated player. He scored his first goal of his 2011 galaxy campaign in a 4-1 loss against Real Salt Lake.

Henry was born in Les Ulis, Essonne (a suburb of Paris) where he played for an array of local sides as a youngster and showed great promise as a goal-scorer. He was spotted by AS Monaco in 1990 and signed instantly, making his professional debut in 1994. Good form led to an international call-up in 1998, after which he signed for the Serie A defending champions Juventus. He had a disappointing season playing on the wing, before joining Arsenal for £11 million in 1999.

It was at Arsenal that Henry made his name as a world-class footballer. Despite initially struggling in the Premier League, he emerged as Arsenal's top goal-scorer for almost every season of his tenure there. Under long-time mentor and coach Arsène Wenger, Henry became a prolific striker and Arsenal's all-time leading scorer with 226 goals in all competitions. The Frenchman won two league titles and three FA Cups with the Gunners; he was nominated for the FIFA World Player of the Year twice, was named the PFA Players' Player of the Year twice, and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year three times. Henry spent his final two seasons with Arsenal as club captain, leading them to the UEFA Champions League final in 2006.

In June 2007, after eight years with Arsenal, he transferred to Barcelona for a fee of €24 million. His first honours with the Catalan club came in 2009 when they won the league, cup and Champions League treble. He went on to achieve an unprecedented sextuple by also winning the Spanish Supercup, the UEFA Supercup and the Club World Cup. In total, Henry has been named in the UEFA Team of the Year five times. In 2010, he joined the New York Red Bulls.

Henry enjoyed similar success with the French national team, having won the 1998 World Cup, Euro 2000 and 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup. In October 2007, he surpassed Michel Platini's record to become France's top goal-scorer of all time. Henry retired from international football after the 2010 World Cup. Off the pitch, Henry is an active spokesperson against racism in football, partially due to his own experiences. He married English model Nicole Merry in 2003 and had a daughter with her, but they divorced in 2007. Henry was also one of the top commercially marketed footballers; he was ranked ninth in the world in 2006.
